The traditional game of Otedama, from Japan, dates way back in Post World War II. It is popularly known as Batu Seremban in Malaysia. It is also known as Five Stones, Selambut/ Serembat (in northern and eastern part of Peninsula Malaysia).

It started with people playing rubber seeds, pebbles, small stones. Later, it evolved into hand-sewn small cloth bags filled with sand, rice,or green beans.  With many versions and different improvisations throughout the years, it is still a popular pastime. Not just among the young, but also with adults. We offer a Zero Waste Initiative by using remnants of batek cloth to design these beautiful  Batek Batu Seremban. It is compactly filled with plastic beads and thereafter, handstitched one by one. Being compact, makes these small bags very secure, ensures there will not be any leaking of beads. Size is just right, makes it easy to hold for both children and adults.
